Nadia has always wanted to have a Special Needs center. From the time that she graduated up till she retired she worked hard to realize this dream. She was able to accomplish this with the help of her retirement and a loan from “Al Watani”. The center became a undividing part of her town Karak. She has 8 teachers that work on enabling Down syndrome and Autism students to enroll in schools; while, students with mental disorders are tamed to participate in society. This comes with 15 years of experience that Miss Nadia holds in the care of students with special needs. 30% of her students are from families that are from war torn neighboring countries and are of refugee status. 45 students from the local university have trained in her center on the art of dealing with students with special needs. 1 student was hailed as the winner of the Arab writing challenge in calligraphy even though he has autism. He is an inspiration for others at the center and parents are taking their hopes to Miss Nadia for their children’s recovery.
